Reporting To: Head of EventsLocation: Birmingham Based Hybrid Role (4 days in office)Salary: Up to £40k DOEWe have a fantastic opportunity at an event management, venue sourcing and production agency based in Birmingham! The ideal candidate will be personable, organised and discreet. An event management background is a must, as is venue sourcing experience. Events will take place on construction sites, so a solid health and safety understanding is ideal.The role is working with one of the businesses key clients where you will be implanted as an events manager to handle their internal events - think summer parties, Christmas parties, dinners and soirées. You will also handle VIP media launches and high-profile MP visits on site. This is a really exciting opportunity with a well-established business. What will this role include:

  • Creating and presenting detailed proposals
  • Manage bookings end to endConceptualise innovative and creative events
  • Working closely with venues to meet stakeholder needsBudget management
  • Supporting media and VIP events on-site (may include overtime and overnight stays)
  • Working on construction sites
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Invoicing and administration

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Degree graduate
  • 4 years experience in a client/agency events division
  • Previous event management experience
  • Experience with budgets of up to £500k
  • Understanding of events (operational and financial)
  • Venue & Destination knowledge (worldwide)
  • Supplier knowledge
  • PC literate including Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
  • Full clean driver’s license
