Senior Sous Chef / Sous Chef £27,000 - £30,000 Birmingham Hotel & Events Catering Experience Preferred
Are you a talented and passionate Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef looking for your next exciting opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our dynamic kitchen team at a well-established hotel in Birmingham, known for its hearty food.
The Role:
As a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role in the kitchen, assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and ensuring high standards in food preparation, presentation, and service. You will help in menu planning, stock management, and leading a skilled brigade in delivering outstanding dishes. A background in events catering would be an advantage. Covers can vary for the restaurant, with banqueting capabilities of up to 200.
You will work 45 hours per week, typically from 1 PM to 10 PM, although shifts may vary depending on the needs of the business. Woodfired pizza experience is a bonus.
What Were Looking For:
- Hotel kitchen experience is essential
- Background in events catering is preferred
- Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef, or a strong Junior Sous Chef ready to step up
- Passion for creating hearty dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations and best kitchen practices
