Dedicate Recruitment is working with this SEN college to appoint a unique individual as Personal Assistant (PA) to the Headteacher. This is a crucial role in the smooth running of the school, acting as a key support to the Headteacher.

We are not just seeking an experienced 'administrator" but someone who can bring something extra to the role in working to the schools’ strategy and being a valued member of the team.

The standard duties include managing the Headteacher's diary, coordinating meetings, and ensuring effective communication across the school community.

You will also contribute to:

  • Planning and preparing governor documents and reports for all committees, managing confidential information with discretion, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with the preparation of reports and presentations.
  • Understanding governor meeting actions which contribute to the successful operation of the school
  • Liaise with parents, staff and external stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.

The successful Personal Assistant will be highly skilled, with a minimum of three years’ experience working at a senior/C-suite level, preferably within an educational setting. Experience of Clerking to Governors would be a welcome skillset! A good general level of education is required, including GSCE English and Maths together with an administrative or ICT qualification.

As expected, you will possess excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A team player with a good blend of professionalism and fun, you will be committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for students and staff alike.

Hours - 36.5 per week, 8:15am - 4:00pm (3:50pm finish Friday), term time only. Some work may be occasionally required during the school holidays by negotiation.
