Robert Walters have partnered with a leading business based in Birmingham in supporting their recruitment of a part qualified Commercial Finance Analyst .The business has gone through a period of growth and is expanding their commercial finance team. The role will see you support senor stakeholders and play a key part in numerous projects driving the business forward

Role Overview:As a Part Qualified Commercial Finance Analyst, you will support the financial planning and analysis functions within the organisation. You will work closely with various departments to provide insights that drive decision-making and enhance profitability. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment while pursuing their professional qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Analyse financial performance and identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support commercial decision-making.
  • Prepare and present financial models and business cases for new initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic planning.
  • Support the monthly close process, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Part qualified (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with a strong desire to complete professional qualifications.
  • Relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a commercial environment.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A resilient attitude to making improvements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
