Robert Walters have partnered with a leading business based in Birmingham in supporting their recruitment of a part qualified Commercial Finance Analyst .The business has gone through a period of growth and is expanding their commercial finance team. The role will see you support senor stakeholders and play a key part in numerous projects driving the business forward
Role Overview:As a Part Qualified Commercial Finance Analyst, you will support the financial planning and analysis functions within the organisation. You will work closely with various departments to provide insights that drive decision-making and enhance profitability. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment while pursuing their professional qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Analyse financial performance and identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support commercial decision-making.
- Prepare and present financial models and business cases for new initiatives.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic planning.
- Support the monthly close process, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Participate in ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Part qualified (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with a strong desire to complete professional qualifications.
- Relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a commercial environment.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A resilient attitude to making improvements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
