Your new companyHays are excited to be partnering with this public services organisation, who are looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.Your new roleAs the FP&A Analyst, you will provide senior management with a forecast of the organisation's cash flow, profit and loss.Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for financial management and reporting of your business areas costs
  • Providing support to stakeholders across the division on expenditure, budgeting, budget applications, forecasting and reporting of costs
  • Collate and produce month-end journals for accruals, balance sheet reconciliation, staff recharges and summary utilisation report
  • Provide quarterly billing and reconciliation of project spends, produce invoices and project spend reports
  • Monitor costs to ensure they are within budget
  • Provide detailed analysis and commentary on your business area and division results.
  • Manage the cash flow forecast
  • Review existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts

What you'll need to succeed

  • Finalist or newly qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA or ACCA)
  • Experience of Workday (Preferable)
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting processes
  • Proficient with excel and financial modelling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
