MODEL OVERSIGHT ANALYST

UP TO £38,000

BIRMINGHAM (HYBRID)

This business is seeking a Model Oversight Analyst to support in managing model risk, focusing on ensuring model governance aligns with Model Risk Policy, and standards, focusing on IRB models.

THE COMPANY

THE ROLE

You will be doing the following daily:

  • Coordination and organisation of the Model Review Group (MRG).
  • Assisting with the IRB self-assessment process, including reviewing responses and managing resulting actions.
  • Maintaining and enhancing the IRB self-assessment tool to support its ongoing development.
  • Interpreting regulations to inform the IRB self-assessment process.
  • Overseeing the upkeep and refinement of model risk management (MRM) policies and standards.
  • Updating MRM policies and standards to align with industry best practices and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting the IRB Programme through drafting relevant documentation and preparing PRA presentation materials.
  • Facilitating the integration of PRA SS1/23 MRM framework principles and managing stakeholder engagement around these principles.
  • Communicating with and representing the team in internal governance forums and broader business contexts.
  • Providing support to Internal Audit, including action reconciliation and collaboration on audit planning.
  • Acting as an advisor on MRM matters for CRCU and other business areas.
  • Assisting the Model Oversight Manager as needed.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong knowledge of IRB and MRM regulations.
  • A strong understanding of credit risk customer journeys.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Excel and VBA skills.
  • Technical proficiency in creating engaging content within Microsoft PowerPoint.
