Senior Commercial Finance Analyst

We are delighted to be working exclusively with a highly successful and fast-growing business based in Birmingham to recruit a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst. This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders in a commercially focused, strategic finance position.

This business operates in a dynamic, performance-driven sector and has ambitious plans for the next 3-5 years. As part of their continued investment in their finance function, they are seeking a commercially astute and forward-thinking qualified accountant to take ownership of key areas of analysis, strategic planning and business partnering.

As Senior Commercial Finance Analyst you will be responsible for the following:

• Lead detailed sales performance analysis, identifying key trends and drivers to support decision-making

• Drive margin analysis across products, channels and customers, with a view to improving profitability

• Monitor and interpret key KPI's across the business, providing actionable insight to senior leaders

• Play a pivotal role in budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives

• Support long-term strategic planning, including detailed 5-year plans and scenario modelling

• Partner with commercial and operational teams to challenge assumptions and influence business strategy

• Present clear and concise analysis to finance and non-finance stakeholders alike

For this Senior Commercial Finance Analyst role the successful candidate will possess the following:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

• Strong commercial acumen, with a proven track record in a similar analytical or business partnering role

• Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with BI tools is a plus

• Able to work with pace and precision in a fast-moving environment

• Confident communicator, comfortable challenging senior stakeholders and adding value beyond the numbers

• Degree in accountancy, business or economics.

• Salary up to £75,000, dependent on experience
