An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Commerical Finance Analyst to join a one of the UK's biggest professional firms. You'll be joining a team at the heart of strategic growth, integrating marketing, client relationship management, and business development expertise to drive commercial success. The Senior Commercial Finance Analyst will be based out of the Birmingham office 3 days per week, with a salary of between £45,000 - £60,000 depending on experience and qualification level.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering specialist pricing advice and commercial insights, supporting high-profile bids, developing advanced pricing models, and conducting financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to collaborate across multiple teams, and a keen commercial mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide pricing insights and financial modelling to support proposals, negotiations, and strategic pricing decisions.
  • Analyse client and matter profitability, identifying trends and opportunities for commercial improvements.
  • Develop and maintain pricing benchmarks, guidelines, and reporting to enhance decision-making.
  • Support the ongoing enhancement of pricing tools and analytics, driving adoption across the business.
  • Contribute to business-wide training and process improvements to promote best-practice pricing strategies.
About You:
  • A degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Ideally ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified or actively studying towards
  • Experience in a pricing and/or commercial role, ideally within professional services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • A proactive, organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for data-driven decision-making and commercial strategy.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, or other business intelligence tools.
  • Understanding of pricing methodologies, including value-based pricing and alternative fee arrangements.
