About the Business

An opportunity to be a Treasury Analyst for a technology business based in Birmingham. This family-owned company has been trading for nearly 50 years and is one of the largest if its kind in Europe.

Main Duties:

As a Treasury Analyst, your main duties include:

  • Preparing and updating weekly cash actuals and forecasting movements for the group
  • Monitoring cash balances daily and comparing against forecasted movements
  • Downloading monthly bank statements and transactions.
  • Supporting treasury-related payments.
  • Updating monthly loan cards and chasing non-completions.
  • Ensuring timely review and investigation of discrepancies before reporting deadlines
  • Maintaining Treasury records and ensuring all necessary backups are maintained at all times
  • Providing month end support and ensure all bank balances are updated in a timely manner
  • Supporting bank setups, signature limits, and user access changes
  • Producing quarterly banking reports analysing platform users, accounts, and signature limits
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Location / Office / Culture

The role is based at the company’s Birmingham offices and offers a hybrid working pattern of 2/3 days in the office.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in treasury, finance, or banking is preferred
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages and confidence in using and learning new systems
  • Experience with banking platforms and intercompany loans is a plus
  • Demonstrable value of transparency and integrity
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability and desire to understand others
  • The ability to reflect on what went well and want could be improved, adapting approach accordingly going forwards
  • A desire to improve and develop personal and professional skills
  • A hands-on approach in analysing issues and identifying root cause of issues
  • Flexibility towards changing demands and conditions
