Accounting & Financial Reporting Assistant Manager - Top 10 Firm

Birmingham (Hybrid & Flextime)

Butler Rose, Public Practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a multi-awarding winning Top 10 firm, who's looking to expand their team with an Accounting & Financial Reporting Assistant Manager. You will be assisting managers to profitably deliver work across a portfolio of not for profit clients. This role will focus on complex financial reporting and consolidations, whilst managing a small portfolio of not-for-profit clients.

Role Requirements

  • Acting as day-today point of contact for clients and practising the principles of excellent client service at all times.
  • Managing a small portfolio of not for profit clients within the agreed internal budget for the job and addressing any material points identified on assignments with the team.
  • Planning assignments in accordance with the firm's standard procedures and confirming arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
  • Ensuring that assignments are undertaken in accordance with instructions; carrying out complex aspects of the assignment efficiently, thoroughly and in accordance with the firm's procedures.

Person Responsibilities -

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • A strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience of UK GAAP, FRS 102 and the Charities SORP.
  • Previous experience of working with not for profit clients.
  • Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness and to add value.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed people management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Word & Excel.
