We are working with an incredibly fast-growing, Top 100 firm, who are actively seeking an Accounts Assistant Manager to join their Birmingham team.

Based in the City Centre with easily accessible transport links, their niche client base has allowed their team in the UK to more than triple in size over the last 3 years.

Your role as an Accounts Assistant Manager:

  • Responsible for overseeing the Accounts preparation for a wide range of corporate clients.
  • Utilising Digita accounting software and working on consolidated accounts.
  • Supervising the preparation of year-end financial statements, work planning and annual timetabling and overseeing junior members of the team.
  • Building and developing relationships with both clients and other members of the department.
  • Once training is completed there will be an opportunity for you to manage your own portfolio of clients.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • ACCA / ACA qualified with a minimum of 3 years' experience of working within an accountancy practice (alternatively an individual with 4-5 years' experience in an audit and accounts split role).
  • Experience with consolidated accounts work.
  • Experience of using Digita accounting software is essential.
  • Worked to reporting standards FRS 102, 101 and IFRS.
  • Ability to communicate openly and effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Desire to support and mentor more junior members of the team.
