TristoneNash are working with a provider of affordable housing, who are looking to recruit an Assistant Director of Strategic Assets on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Property Director, with 2 direct reports at Head of Service level, you will be responsible for driving the overall strategy for investment in and divestment of existing assets, working closely with finance, housing and property colleagues to ensure that the organisations data is of the highest quality to support excellent decision making enabling the delivery of a robust and detailed long-term plan

Duties will include:

  • Developing a long-term strategy including social housing properties, garages, community assets, care & support properties and commercial buildings, recognising the need to balance investment and divestment.
  • Overall responsibility for the development of the Asset Management Strategy, taking into account current stock condition, customer experience and expectations, ESG requirements, financial capacity and constraints.
  • Leading on the development of data-backed investment programmes for existing assets, working with finance colleagues to ensure adequate provision in the financial plan.
  • Ensuring that the asset data infrastructure and data governance arrangements are fit for purpose and reflect a true picture of the state of the organisation’s assets.
  • Developing the organisations approach to sustainability (ESG), working with stakeholders across the business and externally

We are looking for an experienced professional with:

  • A proven track record of working at a senior level managing assets within the affordable housing sector.
  • A detailed understanding of relevant asset based legal, regulatory operational and strategic management issues
  • A proven track record in delivering transformational change within organisations
  • A Detailed understanding of contract and procurement management: processes, SLA performance management.

This position is worked on a hybrid basis with travel to the organisations offices as required
