A motivated Audit Assistant Manager with strong leadership skills is sought to join a growing accountancy practice based in Birmingham. Joining a team of 60 welcoming and friendly individuals.

This role is essential in maintaining strong internal controls and delivering accurate, insightful audit reports. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of audit principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Your role as an Audit Assistant Manager:

  • Working closely with the Audit Manager and Partner, you will lead audit engagements across a broad range of corporate audit clients.
  • You will be responsible for the development of comprehensive audit plans, define audit objectives and create audit strategies.
  • You will lead and participate in on-site and remote fieldwork, identifying risks and improving audit processes.
  • You will lead and management a team of auditors, providing mentor and guidance to junior members.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • You will be ACA/ACCA Qualified with a minimum of 3 years' experience in auditing and risk assessment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of audit principles, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of working in a UK accountancy practice with full rights to work without requiring sponsorship.
  • Proficiency in audit software (preferably Caseware), data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with accounts production software (CCH preferred) is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to changing regulations and technology.
