Our client is seeking an Audit Project Manager to join their Audit Firm Supervision department. This is a unique opportunity to drive improvements in audit quality across firms with smaller PIE audit portfolios. As an Audit Project Manager, you will play a critical role in guiding firms through regulatory expectations and enhancing their audit practices.

Key Responsibilities of the Audit Project Manager:

  • Present findings and feedback to audit firms both individually and in group settings, identifying areas for improvement and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Develop and implement tailored programs based on the needs of firms and findings from broader regulatory work.
  • Innovate and devise strategies to support audit firms, enhancing their audit quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects align with regulatory standards and organisational goals.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to assess the effectiveness and impact of various projects.

Key Requirements of the Audit Project Manager:

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Extensive experience in auditing, central quality control at an audit firm, or within audit regulation, including roles in inspection, supervision, or quality control.
  • Experience working with or at audit firms outside the Big Four, managing a diverse range of audit engagements.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing new services, processes, or methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
