Description
- Leading financial planning, budgeting, and long-term strategy for the Trust.
- Ensuring compliance with the Academy Trust Handbook and financial regulations.
- Providing strategic insight to senior leaders, Trustees, and stakeholders.
- Managing multi-million-pound budgets with robust financial governance.
- Overseeing HR, IT, facilities, and risk management to drive operational efficiency.
- Leading and developing high-performing teams across finance and operations.
- Ensuring the Trust maximises funding opportunities and income generation.
- Implementing strong internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
- Driving continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting.
Profile
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in senior financial leadership, ideally in education or the public sector.
- Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience managing multi-million-pound budgets and financial reporting.
- Leadership experience with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Commercial acumen with a strategic mindset to drive financial sustainability.
- Ability to oversee HR, IT, and facilities while ensuring operational efficiency.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
