Become a pivotal part of one of the country’s foremost organisations by taking on the role of Chief Financial Officer. This position provides a unique chance to spearhead ongoing enhancements in finance and procurement operations, contribute to projects across the organisation, and play a crucial role in strategic decision-making at senior levels. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee strategic and operational finance and procurement responsibilities.
  • Accountable for all Section 151 responsibilities as per the Local Government Act 1972 and subsequent legislation.
  • Lead the transformation and improvement of processes and services focusing on value for money and community satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies that align with the organisation’s strategic objectives, ensuring sustainable and public interest focused outcomes.
  • Maintain effective strategic leadership, focusing on the organisation’s purpose and vision through rigorous analysis and challenge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must possess an accountancy qualification or an equivalent certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with leadership teams and engage across the organisation.
  • Experience in either the private or public sector, with a preference for backgrounds in Local Authorities or related non-profit organisations.
