OverviewOur esteemed Property Management client, located in Birmingham City Centre, is looking for an experienced and motivated Finance Manager to join their dynamic, mid-sized finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role with diverse responsibilities. You'll lead a small team, drive process improvement initiatives, and lead on a key client, managing the relationship, reporting and having significant impact on their operational success.

Reporting directly to a Head of, you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely property accounting for both yourself and your team. Excellent communication skills are vital, as you'll foster strong relationships with team members and clients while providing valuable feedback on reporting. Technically, you'll be a skilled accountant, tasked with preparing detailed financial report packs, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, VAT reporting, and service charge budgets and forecasts. If you enjoy analysing data and delivering insightful commentary, this role is an ideal fit.

What we're looking for:

  • A part-qualified accountant working towards ACCA/CIMA, or someone with equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in the Property sector, especially in rent and service charge accounting (preferred but not essential).
  • A background in team supervision or management, with experience conducting one-to-ones and providing support to team members.
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including proficiency in budgeting and forecasting.
