Job Purpose

  • Manage your own client portfolio, monitoring all commercial aspects of portfolio management
  • Track job progress and billing targets to identify areas of improvement
  • Monitor deadlines and work closely with senior team to ensure budgets and clients' expectations are always met
  • Preparation of accounts, returns, and income and corporation tax computations
  • Oversee junior team members, including workflow management, reviewing work, and identifying training opportunities
  • Use IT software including IRIS, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks
  • Support business development by scoping new service lines for your portfolio
  • Present statutory year-end accounts and tax returns to clients and Directors
  • Work closely across departments to ensure clients are benefiting from an all-encompassing service
  • Oversee ad hoc client projects, including cashflow forecasts valuations and advice on acquisitions
  • Deliver training and review processes to implement more efficient ways of service delivery
  • Keep up-to-date on CPD requirements and regulation changes
  • Set an example as a hands-on and supportive Manager

The Successful Candidate

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, part qualified or studying
  • Qualified by relevant experience also considered
  • Good working knowledge of accounting software including Excel
  • Solid project management and multitasking skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and staff
  • A can-do attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Highly organised and able to manage own workload effectively
