Churchill Howard are recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager on a 9/12 month fixed term basis with occasional travel to London. This role provides financial and commercial support to key stakeholders, helping drive strong decision-making, risk management, and business performance. You will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis while ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.Key Responsibilities*Commercial & Financial Support*Partner with stakeholders (financial & non-financial) to support decision-making and manage *financial risks & opportunities.*Attend site and client meetings, focusing on revenue growth.*Provide financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.*Ensure accurate month-end processes, including journal entries and account closures.*Monitor and manage contract mechanisms, highlighting financial risks & opportunities.*Oversee working capital targets, improving cash flow and contract billing.Performance & Reporting*Prepare and analyse month-end reports, business reviews, client reports, budgets, and working capital analysis.*Conduct monthly balance sheet reviews, escalating risks/opportunities to senior stakeholders.*Drive working capital improvements through proactive debt management.*Support budgeting & forecasting, analysing variances and preparing presentations for senior leaders.*Track and challenge initiative delivery plans, ensuring operational teams meet targets.*Assist in client tenders, negotiations, and capital expenditure appraisals.*Promote a strong health & safety culture, reporting any incidents appropriately.People & Relationship Management*Work collaboratively within the finance team and across the business.*Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.*Support and mentor junior team members, aiding their development and enhancing commercial awareness.If you're a commercially focused finance professional looking to make an impact, apply today!
