Credit Manager - Birmingham City Centre

You will be working for a forward thinking business based in Birmingham City Centre , they are a global company who continue to grow due to numerous acquisitions. The role sits within a vibrant fast paced team who work collaboratively and efficiently.The job requires you to both guide a team and also manage your own portfolio of customers, therefore a leader who is happy to role their sleeves up is essential. Your key duties will consist of; successful lead of your team of circa 6 Credit Controllers, drive stakeholder relationships across the team & business, increase & maintain cash flow, delegate workload across the team, set an example to the team and other ad hoc duties. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the people management side of Credit Control but also enjoys being involved with the collections process.To be considered you must have a strong background in Credit Control and have people management experience.

Role responsibilities and duties:

  • Managing a team of 7+ heads effectively (1-1's, hitting KPI's and targets)
  • Managing the credit control and Accounts Receivable accounts for the organisation
  • Credit checking and reviewing
  • Agreeing payment terms with outstanding debts
  • Chasing 30,60 and 90+ aged debt
  • Maintaining and updating the credit policies of the company
  • Organise the charging of late fees
  • Leading the aged debt review
  • Building strong rapport with existing and new clients
  • Develop and implement robust credit control processes and strategies
  • Generate and analyse credit control reports to provide insights to senior management.
