Finance Manager

I am currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join my establised clients team, based in Birmingham City Centre, on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing financial systems, and providing essential support to Directors.

My client are offering a Hybrid WFH option, alongside a competitve employment package.

About the role:

  • Provide monthly management accounts to provide insights into financial performance.
  • Assist Accountants in the preparation of yearly accounts, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Check and file quarterly VAT returns, to ensure complicate with regulatory requirements
  • Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit & loss and budget reports.
  • Proficiency with Xero with a demonstrated track record of substantial bookkeeping experience.
  • Conduct daily reconciliation of multiple accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts using Xero, maintaining precision in recording financial transactions.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate forecast budget for income and expenditure.
  • Set up and maintain professional standards in record-keeping, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as required, providing valuable financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Actively participate in budget management and reporting, contributing to the financial planning process.

About you:

  • Experience in a similair role
  • Xero experience is essential
  • Comfortable creating and managing spreadsheets, sorting and organizing data, and generating custom reports
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
  • Proactive, positive, and can-do attitude
