Finance Manager

Based in Birmingham, West Midlands our client seeks an experienced hands on Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis part-time basis 24 hours per week.

This job would suit an ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified accountant or qualified by experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a track record in strategic oversight and operational management. Beyond managing day-to-day financial operations, you'll be a key business partner, providing strategic insights that drive growth and ensure long-term sustainability.

The successful individual will have in-depth knowledge of UK tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax. They must have proven experience in payroll management, financial reporting, and budgeting. Proficiency in using financial software tools and expert-level Excel skills is essential for this role.

Job responsibilities:

• Oversee daily financial operations with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage and optimise payroll, ensuring compliance and timely processing.
• Ensure full compliance with UK tax regulations.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and present financial reports, highlighting key trends and actionable insights.
• Deliver data-driven insights to support business decisions and long-term growth.
• Explore funding options and financial strategies to support growth and sustainability.
• Identify cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
• Manage credit control to maintain a healthy cash flow.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies.
• Oversee asset management to maximise efficiency and returns.
• Administer pension schemes and ensure compliance with employee benefit regulations.
