Marks Sattin is pleased to be partnering with an innovative business based in Birmingham to recruit a Finance Manager on a part time basis, working 22.5 hours per week. My client offers great flexibility on the days of work, provided the Finance Manager fulfills their hours of work.
Following further investment and the launch of a brand new service line, my client now seeks a finance professional to oversee the company's financial matters and provide strategic financial guidance to help drive sustainable growth. The role will report to the Managing Director and will support the senior leadership team in ensuring financial integrity while aligning financial strategies with the company's growth plans.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Establishing and maintaining financial controls, ensuring policies, procedures are adhered to
- Preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Taking full ownership of the budgeting and forecasting process, with variance analysis
- Monitoring cash flow, and creating short & long term cash flow forecasts
- Working collaboratively with the senior leadership team to implement financial strategies in accordance to business objectives
- Analysing financial information and turning it into meaningful commercial insight for the Board to make meaningful decisions
- Managing the year end process and assist with audit queries
- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable duties: Ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections
- Implementing cost control processes to maximise profitability
- Ensuring compliance to tax regulations
To be considered you must:
- Be a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). Qualified by Experience will also be considered
- Have experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Company Accountant role
- Have great bookkeeping skills
- Be a strong communicator with the ability to discuss financial matters to non-finance people
- Be a proactive individual, keen to make a difference
- Be a proficient user of Excel, and financial software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
- Be able to commute to the Birmingham office 2 days per week. Flexible working hours can be offered
