An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Finance Manager in the manufacturing industry, based in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be a key part of the Accounting and Finance department and will play a crucial role in managing financial activities.

Description

  • Ensure integrity of financial reporting in line with both GAAP and group policies.
  • Issue monthly overhead reports to functional heads, proving insight on variances and supporting any queries.
  • Pro-active involvement in monthly forecasting and annual budgeting cycles.
  • Liaison with finance team in our subsidiaries and also group finance in Hong Kong.
  • Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet and general ledger accounts
  • Support the Group Financial Controller in the external audit process, acting as the day to day contact for field work.
  • Review and develop appropriate financial controls, including a framework / process to monitor compliance.
  • Continually review accounting processes to balance efficiency, transparency and control.
  • Act as Netsuite Finance Super User, providing finance input to business developments and driving finance improvements.

Profile

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 4/5 years PQE.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience of driving improvements
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
