Reporting to the Director of Finance and Procurement, the Head of Finance will be responsible for the entire finance function, at an exciting time for the organisation.

Description

  • Manage and lead a team of 9 across transaction management, financial accounting and control, business partnering and management accounting
  • Timely and accurate production of management accounts and other regular monthly reporting, such that they give a full financial understanding of performance and enable appropriate decisions to be made.
  • Management of the year-end process and production of statutory accounts,
  • Successful external audit of the financial statements
  • Deputise for the Director of Finance and Procurement, including supporting delivering key priorities as required.
  • Effective budgeting and financial forecasting processes
  • Management of the finance business partnering function across the organisation including strategic financial advice to budget holders, building strong relationships and capacity within budget holders (including developing and presenting finance training)
  • Compliance with financial governance and financial risk management requirements
  • Effective systems and structures for budgets and accounts including coordination and integration of finance and other key information systems
  • Oversee Cash Flow forecasting and provide recommendations on treasury management to the Director of Finance and Procurement
  • Develop processes and other ways of working to ensure the smooth running of the finance department and the wider organisation.

Profile

A successful Head of Finance should have:

  • An experienced manager of a finance function ensuring timely delivery of objectives
  • Excellent people development and coaching skills
  • Qualified accountant
  • Business partnering mindset
  • Experience in the preparation of statutory financial statements
  • Management of a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to liaise with both finance and non-finance literate professionals.

Job Offer
