SF Recruitment is currently working with a highly reputable public sector organisation who are currently recruiting an exciting position. It's a Senior Budget and Planning Manager position on an interim basis (6 months).

Based in Birmingham City Centre (1 day office based with the occasional additonal dependant on business needs).

The senior budget and planning manager will support the ongoing development of the strategic budgeting and planning. This role will provide the link between the planning and finance functions.

Key tasks:

- Lead on all aspects of annual budgeting, financial business planning and providing appropriate regular returns, including spending review and in year budget review submissions.
- Work alongside the Finance Business Partners and Revenue and Commercial Assurance Team, to prepare the monthly financial position, including FTE reporting.
- Leading on modelling of expenditure and costing options for future areas of work, including identifying opportunities to reduce costs and make efficiencies, in current spending and as part of
   developing plans for any future spend.
- Manage the planning process which includes coordination of organisation wide deliverable work, alignment of business and financial planning with strategic outcomes, providing advice as to the
   prioritisation of activity, and creation of effective monitoring process as well as responsible for the published plan itself.
- Work collaboratively with senior leaders to ensure delivery plans are created, that the impact and output of any work is identified, understood and that they are being kept up to date throughout the
   year.
