We are seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner for a 6-12 month period. This individual will support budget holders in aligning corporate objectives with practical budgets and financial forecasts. In collaboration with various stakeholders, you will help design effective reporting tools to assess financial performance.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager with a proven ability to cultivate a high-performing team and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide budget holders in converting strategic and operational objectives into actionable budgets that support accurate financial forecasts.
  • Deliver timely and precise corporate reporting that aligns with financial targets.
  • Lead a high-performing business partnering team in accordance with performance management standards.
  • Streamline processes to capitalise on automation opportunities through effective business systems and technology.
  • Collaborate with the wider finance team to meet strategic and operational goals.
  • Represent the finance department in broader corporate initiatives as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant professional accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Background in a senior operational finance position, including corporate reporting responsibilities.
  • Proven experience working with budget holders to develop robust budgets and forecasts.
  • Experience managing and supervising a team.
  • Understanding of finance in the context of legal, regulatory, and operational aspects of housing associations or similar organisations.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying financial information clearly at a corporate level while paying attention to detail for accuracy.
