This role is based within the Financial Accounting team (in financial control) which operates the financial control and financial/regulatory reporting functions for HSBC UK Bank plc.

The role will challenge the successful candidate with its scale and complexity. At the same time, it will provide an opportunity for the individual to develop a broad range of skills including collaboration, financial analysis, influencing skills as well as technical application of IFRS. The role will have significant exposure to senior management.

This role has primary responsibility for the WPB (Wealth & Private Banking) Business and ensures integrity of the Ledger Close Process across the full Trial Balance.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Financial Control Manager.

In this role you will:

* Have full oversight of the Wealth & Private Banking Trial balance.* Ensure integrity and governance over key management judgements.* Be the key contact for GAP/Tax/Financial Reporting and other business functions for queries/support* Offer Change Management Support across the business and finance. * Stakeholder management will include - Business Finance, GAP, External Auditors and the wider Finance community.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

* Qualified accountant with solid financial reporting experience in a complex and dynamic environment.* Experience of having worked in a number of other bank finance reporting roles preferable* Understanding of international Financial Reporting Standards is essential (For example IFRS 9, 15 & 37)* Experience of managing or being involved in change projects.* Previous leadership experience is essential
