An exciting opportunity has arisen for aDirector-level Chartered Financial Plannerto join the Birmingham office of an International Wealth & Investment Management organisation. This vacancy has become available following the departure of a long-standing Director, who is taking a career break. The successful candidate will step into a senior, established role, inheriting an exceptional portfolio of high-net-worth (HNW) clients.

Role Overview:

  • You will inherit a client base of approximately 150 HNW clients, each with a minimum of £1M in Funds Under Management (FUM).
  • There is no requirement to bring an existing book of business, as all clients will be provided.
  • Specialising in delivering complex financial advice, particularly in the areas ofDivorce, Inheritance Tax (IHT) Planning, Pensions, and other intricate financial matters.
  • You will have full autonomy to deliver bespoke financial planning strategies, continuing the high standard of service provided to these clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert financial advice and guidance to HNW clients, ensuring tailored solutions to meet their individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including Investment Managers, other Financial Planners, and the Paraplanning/Support teams.
  • Maintain and enhance client relationships, offering first-class service and bespoke financial planning solutions.
  • Stay informed of relevant regulatory and industry changes to deliver technically sound and compliant advice.

Key Requirements:

  • Chartered Financial Planner qualification is essential.
  • Extensive experience advising HNW clients, with a proven track record in areas such asDivorce settlements, IHT, Pensions, and other specialist planning areas.
  • Strong technical knowledge, with a focus on complex financial planning issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships both with clients and internal teams.
  • Comfortable working in a flexible environment, but with a regular presence in the Birmingham office to foster internal collaboration.
