About the Company:

We are currently seeking an experienced Paraplanner to support a dynamic Chartered Financial Planner within our esteemed firm. In this role, you will be responsible for executing the technical aspects of client meeting preparation, including conducting regular reviews, analysing opportunities, and crafting suitability reports. A comprehensive understanding of pre- and post-retirement planning, investments, and taxation is crucial. Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset, including mentoring and coaching, are vital components of this role.

Key Responsibilities as a Paraplanner:

  • Ensuring thorough understanding of the Financial Planners requirements through effective questioning and articulation.
  • Analysing information on clients existing financial arrangements and conducting gap analyses.
  • Researching products based on guidelines from the Financial Planner, client circumstances, and objectives to support recommendations.
  • Compiling personalised Suitability and Ongoing Suitability Reports that are clear, written in plain English, and compliant with regulations. (Training provided)
  • Preparing cases for client meetings.

Requirementsas a Paraplanner:

  • Experience with Intelligent Office (IO) back-office system.
  • Previous experience working within an Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) environment with comprehensive knowledge of all retail investment products.
  • Familiarity with SIPP providers, permitted investments, and specialist funds.
  • Understanding of industry legislation, including MiFID II, GDPR, and AML.
  • Working towards Level 4 Financial Services Diploma qualification.
