We are pleased to be supporting our client, a well-established and highly regarded Wealth & Investment Management organisation, in their search for an experienced Senior Paraplanner/ Team Leader to join their team in Birmingham city centre. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a skilled Paraplanner to take on additional leadership responsibilities, overseeing a team of five Paraplanners while continuing to provide high-quality technical support to Financial Planners and Advisers.

The Opportunity

This position is well-suited to an experienced Senior Paraplanner with a strong technical background who is looking to take the next step in their career. While previous management experience is advantageous, it is not essential; our client is open to individuals with strong mentoring and leadership capabilities who are keen to develop in a management role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Paraplanning Support - Conduct in-depth analysis of clients' financial needs, producing robust financial plans and supporting Financial Planners in delivering high-quality advice.
  • Team Leadership & Development - Manage, mentor, and support a team of five Paraplanners and Financial Planning Assistants, fostering professional growth and best practices.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Ensure all work adheres to FCA regulations and internal policies.
  • Business Development - Contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the financial planning team.
Candidate Requirements
  • Level 6 CII Advanced Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of financial planning areas.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical ability, and communication skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to leadership, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Previous management experience is beneficial but not essential—candidates with the aspiration and transferable skills to step into a leadership role will be considered.
