About the Company:Our client is a well-established financial planning firm located in West Midlands, specialising in providing tailored financial planning solutions to high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals. With a small, established team of Financial Planning professionals, they have exciting new expansion plans and as part of their growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner to lead the work of the Technical team at their office.

For the right candidate, this can also be a client-facing role, with some responsibility for supporting existing clients in the absence of the Director, but without any business development or sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Team Leadership: Oversee the Technical team and provide expertise in complex financial planning matters.
  • Post-Meeting Action: Receive debriefings from Advisors and ensure follow-up tasks are actioned efficiently.
  • Data Analysis: Research, interpret, and analyse financial data to develop appropriate client solutions.
  • Suitability Reports: Draft and deliver suitability reports, client illustrations, and detailed records supporting research outcomes.
  • Fact Finds: Conduct thorough fact-finding processes and deliver clear, accurate suitability reports.
  • Recommendations: Collaborate with Directors and Financial Planners to develop recommendations for clients.
  • Client Support: Provide support during client meetings and assist with ongoing client interaction as needed.
  • Client Interaction: Fill in for the Director and support client meetings, especially during absences (not essential)

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years’ experience in a Paraplanner role, preferably in a financial planning firm dealing with HNW/UHNW clients.
  • Qualifications: Ideally hold a Level 6 Diploma in Financial Planning (or close to achieving this).
  • Technical Knowledge: Exceptional technical expertise in financial planning processes and solutions.
  • Client Reporting: Strong ability to produce professional, detailed reports for HNW clients.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage tasks efficiently while handling both technical and client-facing responsibilities.
