Are you a Senior IFA Administrator or Trainee Paraplanner looking for the next step in your career? NJR Recruitment are partnered with a well established Chartered Financial planning firm who are currently looking for a Trainee Paraplanner to assist their Financial Planner in providing expert guidance to their clients. This Trainee Paraplanner will have a key role in preparing for client meetings by conducting analysis, opportunity spotting and drafting suitability reports. You will need to have a strong understanding of pre- and post-retirement planning, investments, and taxation.

Key Responsibilities of the Trainee Paraplanner:

" Build and maintain a professional working relationship with Financial Planners by regularly communicating to understand their priorities and requirements, helping to plan workload and meet service level agreements" Develop a thorough understanding of the advice process, including the suitability report format and FCA regulatory requirements, to ensure timely and compliant delivery" Understand each client's unique circumstances, including objectives, risk tolerance, and knowledge level, to ensure advice suitability, and offer alternative solutions to the Financial Planner as needed" Prepare client portfolio analysis and updates for meetings, ensuring all information is current and relevant" Conduct research and generate quotations to support client meetings and decision-making" Submit files for compliance review to the Compliance Director when required, ensuring all documentation is audit-ready" Provide regular updates to the Financial Planner, ensuring they're informed on progress and any issues" Develop collaborative relationships with product providers to facilitate smooth service and knowledge-sharing" Work closely with the internal team to exchange ideas, share best practices, and support the Office Manager in enhancing the overall client experience, while identifying areas for improvement" Perform additional duties as required to support the team and the organization" Ensure compliance with regulatory standards by meeting the Fit & Proper requirements on an ongoing basis" Take responsibility for self-development, staying up to date on industry regulations and completing continuing professional development (CPD) requirements

Essential Experience/Qualifications:

" Strong organizational and prioritization skills under pressure " Excellent verbal and written communication abilities " Confident in influencing at all levels " Highly numerate with keen analytical skills and attention to detail " Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team " Previous experience in an IFA environment, with knowledge of retail investment products " Proficient in MS Word and Excel " Ability to balance commercial needs with compliance requirements

Desriable Qualifications:

" Familiarity with research tools and software (e.g., FE Analytics, Iress, Dynamic Planner) " Experience with Intelligent Office (IO) back-office system " Knowledge of Structured Products, IHT Planning, SIPP providers, and specialist funds " Understanding of industry legislation, including MiFID II, GDPR, and AML " Willingness to pursue continuous professional development, including Level 4 Financial Services Diploma qualification
