We are excited to share an excellent opportunity for a General Foreman to join a key client of ours based in the Midlands. This role is perfect for a professional with strong knowledge of Fibre Reinforced Concrete (FRC) and RC works, RMD formwork, highways, and groundworks experience.

About the Role: As General Foreman, you will ensure that works are executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage a direct labour team and specialist subcontractors constructing reinforced concrete structures within a high-profile, Tier 1 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe, controlled execution of work by operatives and subcontractors.
  • Manage site logistics and induct and assess competencies of new inductees.
  • Contribute to the production of Work Package Plans, Risk Assessments, Task Briefing Sheets, and toolbox talks.
  • Provide input and recommendations for Temporary Works solutions with the TWC.
  • Identify potential hazards and proactively implement actions and controls.
  • Maintain and ensure the adequacy of plant and small tools.
  • Keep accurate records of Plant & Equipment Registers, PUWER, and LOLER files.
  • Monitor the performance of plant operators and appointed persons.
  • Strive to improve safety levels and ensure the workforce has sufficient and correct information.
  • Monitor work quality and promote a right-first-time culture.
  • Contribute to weekly programming and monitor progress against key dates with the PM/Site Agent.
  • Ensure the appropriate level of resources is allocated to each work activity.
  • Assess material wastage allowances and implement improvement actions.
  • Maintain awareness of project scope and highlight potential commercial risks.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Extensive experience in RC structures and heavy civils.
  • Proven track record in managing own labour and plant.
  • Successful project delivery on time, within budget, and to high quality.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • CSCS Card, SMSTS, TWS certifications.
  • Computer literacy.
  • First Aider and Fire Marshall certifications (desirable).
  • Fit-for-work medical or safety-critical medical (desirable).
