Year 1 Class Teacher

Prospero Teaching is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Yardley from February 2025 through to Christmas 2025. This role is open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to Year 1 students
Create an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment
Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support
Collaborate with colleagues and communicate with parents to support student development

The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Passion for teaching and supporting young childrens development
Strong classroom management skills
Open to experienced teachers and ECTs

Type of work - Class Teacher - planning, preparation, marking, parents evenings etc

Duration / Likely Duration - Until Christmas 2025

Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temporary
Full time/part time - Full time
Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate GBP130 per day
Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
QTS or equivalent
Minimum 1 year Key Stage 1 teaching experience in the UK
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
