Prospero Teaching are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a vibrant and dedicated team at a well-established primary school in Shard End, Birmingham.
This full-time position will begin in January 2025, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate.
As a Year 2 Class Teacher, you will have responsibility for delivering high-quality teaching, ensuring a supportive and engaging learning environment, and helping our students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing regular feedback and support
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and well-being
Collaborate with colleagues, including teaching assistants and support staff, to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
Engage with parents and carers to keep them informed of their child's progress
Differentiate teaching and learning to meet the diverse needs of students

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
At least 1-2 years of experience in teaching Key Stage 1 (preferably Year 2)
Experience of planning and delivering the Year 2 curriculum
Strong behaviour management skills and a positive, proactive approach to teaching
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
