Flourish Education are working with a Primary School in Harborne, who are seeking a Year 2 Teacher to work in their school. This school is a 2-form entry, Good rated, faith school who are community centred and work on the thrive approach to help best support pupils and staff within the school.

This school is seeking a Year 2 Teacher to work as a full class Teacher, starting from January and continuing until the end of the academic year. As this is a full-class teacher role, their will be planning responsibilities, this being a 2-form entry, the planning would be shared between both year group classes.

The responsibilities of this Year 2 Class Teacher Role, Include:

  • Full class responsibilities, including planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons
  • Teach the Key Stage 1 (KS1) National Curriculum effectively to Year 2 students
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment, encouraging positive behaviour
  • Regular marking and assessment of students' work to promote learning development
  • Collaborate with other Class Teacher and staff to create a supportive team dynamic
  • Maintain a welcoming and safe classroom in line with school policies

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), including Early Career Teachers (ECT)
  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 (KS1) National Curriculum
  • Demonstrated excellence in behaviour management skills
  • Previous experience as a Primary Teacher, specifically as a Class Teacher in Year 2
  • Ability to effectively plan and prepare lessons that cater to diverse learning needs
