An AR Analyst is required in the bustling city of Birmingham for a permanent role in the Accounting & Finance department of a leading player in their industry.

Description

  • Raise Sales invoices to BCA Logistics' customers, according to their requirements and internal processes, using in house systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Action any issues, queries, or complaints arising from customer invoices
  • To be proactive in communicating with customers to ensure timely settlement of their account
  • Work closely with the Credit Controller to assist in resolving any issues
  • Produce reconciliations to maintain a high level of invoicing accuracy
  • Assist with month end revenue recognition tasks (accruals, revenue reconciliations)
  • Assist the Revenue Accountant and Financial Accountant with VAT returns and Audits
  • Maintain Customer Accounts and Rates on internal systems
  • To support all areas of the Sales Ledger function
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks as necessary to meet the needs of the business and its customers
  • Maintain accurate records of all AR transactions
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies
  • Generate monthly statements for customers
  • Ensure timely collection of payments
  • Collaborate with the sales team to establish credit terms for new customers
  • Review AR ageing on a regular basis to ensure compliance
  • Prepare and present reports on collection activities and progress

Profile

A successful AR Analyst should have:

  • Previous experience within a finance function
  • Experience of Microsoft Excel at advance level especially formulas
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work and communicate with people at all levels of the organisation both internal and external
  • Ability to work under pressure in a challenging and changing environment
  • Proactive and self-motivated
