LTF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and skilled Behaviour Mentor to join our partner primary school in Small Heath, working within a Resource Base for SEN pupils. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a meaningful impact on children with SEN. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping students overcome challenges and achieve success both academically and socially. This long-term opportunity has the potential to become a permanent position for the right person.

The Role:

  • Provide one-to-one support for pupils with SEN, maintaining clear and consistent boundaries to manage any challenging behaviours effectively.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to develop and implement strategies that promote positive behavioural outcomes.
  • Encourage active engagement and participation in classroom activities, helping students feel included and supported.
  • Deliver tailored interventions to enhance students' learning, emotional wellbeing, and overall personal growth.

What we are looking for:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree.
  • Experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Qualifications like TeamTeach or training in Positive Behaviour Management are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) pupils.
