A leading legal firm based on Hagley Rd, Birmingham, is currently looking for a Bids and Tenders Executive to join their fun and friendly sales and marketing team.

Benefits:

  • Hours of work 9am to 17.15pm
  • 36.5 hours per week
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Hybrid working available 3 days office based.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all portal communications including the firm's annual submissions into directories and B2B tender portals for ad hoc opportunities.
  • Lead on the firm's submissions for legal directories and maintain a tracker of historical rankings.
  • Liaise with Fee Earners and other departments, collate information and draft the submission documents.
  • Prepare tender proposal, including, logging key dates in stakeholders' calendars and monitoring progress to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure all new opportunities are accurately captured on in-house systems.
  • Organise and maintain various electronic folders containing copies of tenders, presentations, a range of company policies, a suite of standard responses and other reference material, including potentially confidential data.
  • Research and analyse industry trends, priority sectors and competitive landscapes.
  • Preparing and sending introductory emails to prospects
  • Undertake and monitor research as required to provide support for Fee Earners and the business development team.
  • Develop presentation and proposal materials for client pitches.
  • Review and analyse incoming 'new client enquiries' (email, phone and web form)
  • Assist with maintaining and updating business contacts (clients & prospects)
  • Develop and maintain highly useful and efficient administrative systems, reports, analyses and dashboards.

Skills/Experience required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of working with tender portals.
  • A proven business development professional with a minimum 3 years of project management experience, ideally within professional services, and ideally with a sound knowledge of Intellectual Property.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software. Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Additional design skills would be desirable.
  • Experience of using social media platforms for research purposes, eg LinkedIn Premium/Sales Navigator.
  • Excellent technical skills to navigate the various IT systems and an ability to review and interpret data
  • A solid education background with a relevant business or marketing qualification.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills in English. A high GCSE grade in English Language is required as a minimum.
