About The RoleAbout The RoleAs a Build-up/ Breakdown Operative you will be responsible for the day time gangway cleaning within the Exhibition Halls at the National Exhibition Centre. Removal of all gangway debris generated from stand building materials and rubbish generated from customers products. You will also ensure client satisfaction and customer excellence is achieved and services are delivered to agreed standards.Main Duties

  • Loading of waste, de-lapsing floor areas, cleaning outdoor channels, sweeping edges, mopping edges, or operating machinery.
  • Remove all foreign objects from floor areas i.e. nails, screws, floor bolts, cable clips, carpet tape backing, and any other foreign matter that may be adhered to the floor by using correct method and equipment.
  • Ensure Exhibition Halls are left in a clean condition in readiness for the next incoming Exhibitions/Events.
  • Sweep rubbish into piles ready for collection and assist tractor drivers with loading of waste into euro bins.
  • Operatives are to commence work in the Exhibition Halls designated to them by their Supervisor.
  • Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times
  • Rubbish is to be removed from Exhibition Halls by tractor trained operative promptly to the Waste Pre- Treatment Centre (WPTC), euro bins to be emptied and returned to Exhibition Hall, this is a continuous operation throughout the day.
  • All euro bins are to be taken to the WPTC area at the end of the shift. No full euro bins are to be left in the Exhibition halls at the end of the shift.
