Our client is an established ladies fashion retailer based in the west midlands area are looking for a talented individual to join and support the Buying team as a Buyer. The company continues to design and develop products for a broad range of consumers, seeking to bring the correct look and fit customers of all ages they utilising the highest quality fabrics and raw materials to ensure that the product fits beautifully, and performs well.
Description
- Work as part of the overall buying team to develop an exceptional range in line with the brand strategy.
- Create a Develop a given range of product which is on trend, commercial and inline with the companies brand image.
- To lead and develop a team.
- Manage and maintain critical path.
- Analysis of market and competitor trends
- Presenting proposals for future range development
- Lead on supplier meetings - communications/negotiating prices/minimum quantities/lead times and range finalisation meetings.

- Passion for product, balanced with understanding need for commercial acumen
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation Skills
- Supplier management
- Resilient and adaptable to fast changing environments
- Knowledgeable in market trends, competitor landscape for the product area
- Continuous improvement in the role, and a desire to develop
- Takes accountability to ensure that own and team targets are met
- Ability to demonstrate problem solving and provide resolution in a fast paced environment
