•    Job Type: Full-time / Temporary •    Pay: PAYE £12.99 per hour •    Hours: 37 hours per week over 7 days, working any 5 from 7 days (Monday to Sunday), in line with a rota pattern•    Location: Birmingham B37 

We are looking for someone to join Estates and Services Team as a Cleaner Technician within a Housing Association, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of communal areas within our housing blocks. This position requires flexibility and effectiveness in delivering high-standard cleaning services.

Day-to-day of the role:•    Work across various areas within the cleaning team as required.•    Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of both internal and external communal parts of the properties.•    Perform cleaning duties including litter removal, small-scale graffiti removal using hand wipes, and repair reporting.•    Operate independently and reliably in the absence of the Team Leader.•    Complete and record daily and weekly checks.•    Be accountable for specific areas of work, maintaining standards as outlined in the procedural manual.•    Conduct block inspections to address any hazards or spillages.•    Clean communal areas such as entrances, stairs, corridors, floors, walls, lifts, windows, rubbish chute hoppers, and bin rooms.•    Use various cleaning methods including washing, mopping, sweeping, buffing, polishing, and dusting.•    Manage litter and rubbish removal around the block and coordinate with the appropriate team for bulk refuse.•    Flush and disinfect drains and gulleys, ensuring cleanliness and addressing blockages as per procedures.•    Report any necessary repairs to the Team Leader.

Required Skills & Qualifications:•    Experience in a cleaning role, preferably within a communal or public setting.•    Basic knowledge of Health and Safety in a cleaning environment, particularly in the use of associated equipment.•    Professional demeanor, promoting a positive impression of the team.•    Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and clean to a management-set standard.•    Capability to work under varying deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.•    Willingness to work in unpleasant conditions when necessary.•    Full driving licence and willingness to operate a company small van.•    This position requires a basic DBS check.
