Alongside having the opportunity to take pride in your work?If so, you are in luck as a Cleaning Team Leader position can offer you this, and what's more… you can join us immediately and be exposed to some of the UK's best venues for international events.The NEC Group Contract comprises of 5 venues within Birmingham, NEC, The Vox, Resorts World Arena, Utilita Arena Birmingham & The ICC. OCS provide soft services to all venues, including security, stewarding, cleaning, waste, estates, and front of house. This role will be focused at The NEC Venue (B40 1NT), and will support the supervisor of the day cleaning team for exhibitions and live events.We are looking for professional, friendly, customer focused individuals to join our fantastic team to and contribute to the operation of the whole cleaning process.   • Ensure Cleaning Team Members are following Company Standards and H&S Measures, including SSOW & PPE.
  • Ensure cleaning activities are carried out to the highest standards.
  • Ensuring Company equipment is stored, cleaned and maintained to the highest standard.
  • As the face of the NEC, ensuring all visitors experience high levels of customer service.
  • Making certain you and your team follow reporting and safety processes.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that a safe system of work is produced & communicated to workers prior to the commence of shifts / activities

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • Experience in cleaning large venues/spaces is desirable
  • Ability to team lead and ensure team are motivated and productive
  • Self-Motivated attitude, who can also motivate their direct reports & fellow colleagues
  • Ability to communicate professionally at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring the standards are always set high.
  • Excellent Time keeping & Attendance
  • Able to be flexible in meeting client demands regarding availability, work hours including weekends, public holidays, evening work as required
