Anderselite are recruiting for a Clerk of Works in the West Midlands area for a key client. This is a permanent role within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular site visits to monitor the quality and progress of construction works, ensuring compliance with contract documents, building regulations, and health and safety standards.
Provide professional advice and reports to the project management team on the delivery of specific major works projects.
Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of contractors, service providers, products, and consultants, making recommendations for improvements as required.
Conduct detailed site surveys, stock condition surveys, and pre- and post-inspections with relevant stakeholders.
Monitor and report on various areas such as quality, customer care, application, and maintenance requirements.
Support the provision of accurate cost data for service charge billing and assist in responding to related queries.
Qualifications and Experience:
HNC/HND or equivalent in Building Studies, Construction Management, or a related field.
Membership of the Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate (ICWCI) or Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) is desirable.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a Clerk of Works or similar quality assurance role, preferably in housing or public sector works.
Strong knowledge of construction standards, building regulations, energy efficiency measures, and sustainable building practices.
Excellent communication skills, keen attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently, with sound judgment and initiative.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to various sites as required.
