ABC Teachers is seeking a Day-to-Day Cover Supervisor to support our renowned secondary schools in Edgbaston and surrounding areas. This flexible role is ideal for someone with a passion for working with students and the adaptability to cover a range of subjects on short notice. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in various subject areas and be an integral part of the school’s day-to-day functioning.

We work with a diverse range of secondary schools and colleges, known for their academic excellence and support. Our client schools are celebrated for their inclusivity and commitment to supporting students from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Most schools have great public transport links and provide on-site parking.

 As a Cover Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising classes during teacher absences.
  • Ensuring students remain on task and engaged with set work.
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
  • Supporting students in a range of subjects at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

 

Requirements

The successful Cover Supervisor will have;

  • Experience working with secondary school aged students 
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Flexibility to cover lessons on short notice.
  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
