Our client is a leading provider of fire protection solutions, specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of high-performance fire protection systems for various industries.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of documentation within the business, ensuring the proper handling, storage, and distribution of technical documents. This role is critical in maintaining compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and industry regulations.

Document Controller

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control all project documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Ensure that all documents are properly registered, filed, and maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of document revisions, approvals, and distribution to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely submission and retrieval of documents.
  • Monitor and track document versions to ensure consistency and avoid duplication.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of documentation to clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Implement and maintain document control procedures and systems to streamline workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, including ISO and other industry certifications.
  • Support the project management team in maintaining up-to-date project documentation for audits and reviews.

Document Controller

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in document control, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with document control software and systems (e.g., SharePoint, Aconex, or similar).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
