You will have strong knowledge of the English syllabus and be confident in your ability to share this knowledge in a clear and concise manner. You will have exceptional communication skills which will aid in the building of strong rapport with students and staff who will be working alongside you in your time as an English Academic Coach. Previous tutoring experience would be beneficial to the successful candidate, but it not essential.The RoleIn your position as an English Academic Coach, you will provide 1-2-1, and small group support to KS3 and KS4 students throughout their journey through the English GCSE syllabus. You will monitor and track pupils’ progression as a means of improving grades and will provide feedback to both students and educators to ensure pupils’ maximum potential is fulfilled. In order to achieve this, you will also partake in the formulation of teaching materials, alongside teaching staff, to accommodate the needs and extra support that individual students may require and ensure an inclusive learning environment.The SchoolA caring and supportive culture is integral to this school as it endeavours to providing a high-quality and distinctive education to all pupils, through a specialist curriculum.
