Our client is a well-established groundworks and civil engineering contractor in the West Midlands, with over 30 years of experience and a turnover of 50 million.
They are seeking an Estimator with previous experience in estimating for groundworks or major infrastructure/highways projects, specifically with a focus on tenders for projects up to 20 million.
The role involves producing accurate quotations, preparing rates, attending client meetings, and sourcing pre-project information.
The company offers a competitive salary dependent on experience, along with a company vehicle or car allowance, bonus, pension, and additional benefits.

Trading for over 30 years, our client is a groundworks and civil engineering contractor based in the West Midlands, working on commercial groundworks, major infrastructure and highways projects. With a turnover of 50 million, they focus on growing sustainably, with the right people in place.

Responsibilities:

Produce accurate quotations from drawings and submit tender returns
Prepare rates for each item within the BOQ from first principles, technical knowledge and experience
Produce tender report
Attend pre & post contract reviews and client meetings
Measuring & 'Taking-Off' quantities from drawings
Sourcing pre-project information and supporting supplier / sub-contractor quotations, agreements & enquiries

Experience Required:

Must have previous experience in estimating with a groundworks contractor or major infrastructure/highways contractor
Experience in the conversion of tenders for projects up to 20m+
The ability to communicate effectively and work on your own initiative
Decisive and reliable with excellent attention to detail
