Estimator - Soft-Strip Demolition

Job Description:We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our client's Birmingham-based team. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing accurate quotations, ensuring competitive tenders, and building strong client relationships to drive business success. This is a permanent position with a leading national commercial strip-out, demolition, and groundworks contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site visits to prepare accurate quotations.
• Issue detailed quotations to meet client timescales and requirements.
• Evaluate and select subcontractors and suppliers, securing quotations as needed.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to drive repeat business and referrals.
• Follow up on tenders and quotations, engaging with clients to secure projects.
• Prepare and deliver project handovers to Contract Managers prior to commencement.
• Maintain up-to-date records using company Sales Management Software.
• Compile accurate invoicing information and prepare applications for payment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in estimating within the soft-strip demolition or demolition industry.
• Ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships.
• Proficient in using estimating and measurement software for accurate take-offs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales and customer service.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential.
